                                     Proposed Legislative Agenda for 2010

           Submitted and approved by the Association Membership at its Annual
            Business Meeting in Lake Placid, New York on October 19, 2009.


1.       Amend section 65-c of the Alcohol and Beverage Control Law to allow the Court to suspend the driving privileges of a Defendant who fails to appear in Court as required, or fails to pay a Court issued fine as a result of a conviction under this section of law.


2.        Amend section 221.05 of the Penal Law to allow the Court to suspend the driving privileges of a Defendant who fails to appear in Court as required, or fails to pay a Court issued fine as a result of a conviction under this section of law.

            
3.Amend the Navigation Law to allow the Court to suspend the boat registration of a Defendant who fails to appear in Court as required, or fails to pay a Court issued fine arising from a conviction of any equipment, speeding, or other non-criminal violations.


4.Amend section 120.08 of the Penal Law by making an assault upon Judges or         Courtroom Personnel in the course of performing their lawful responsibilities a class C felony.
